I felt inspired to write this when I saw how the image came out…I was abused when I was little and I know there are many more children being abused everyday every where. Always looking for a way out…a place to be…safety…somewhere
A place to play in the sand and
not feel your hurting hand.
A place where water tickles my toes and
not to have a bloody nose.
A place where I hear nature sing and
no use of a belt that leaves a sting.
A place where I can just be free and
not hear you say you don’t want me.
I’m sorry that I’m your mistake,
I found my freedom at the lake.
