Vinyl Grove Sneak Preview. by EarthquakeBee

Posted on May 01, 2010

Ok, so we opened for a few hours yesterday before the official commercial opening today. This means it is not the “opening for friends and colleagues”, we’re talking business here. Today is the first Saturday in weeks I can take a break and stay home chilling and cooking, so I took some time to fix this update.

We haven’t finished yet but the Grove is operative and we don’t want to wait any longer.
There is still stock on our way, the leather sofa is arriving and bits & pieces need to be closed… but this is how it is looking at the moment.

Cheers, Bee.

This is the place when we got it.

And these are shots showing progress – in big steps, otherwise I’d need to post 60 pics and there’s no use to bore.

So we went to open… and a food tent had decided to install their gear hanging from our window!!! After a … friendly… conversation, they unplugged their tent from our front.. but they refused to move to their assigned spot.. so we were covered by a food tent, smelling to frying oil the whole day.

Obvious: we couldn’t take a shot of the front, we will do, but this is the view from inside (tent included).

However we kept our spirits high (but yes I was pissed off) and our neighbour, a vintage guitar store, organised these street gig… two awesome kids playing drums.. plus a bass. The kids were genius and made the trick to make the frown go away.

More updates coming soon.
