At low tide the Tilligerry foreshore is a wonderful place to explore, with it’s broad sand flats, rock platforms and pools. At high tide on a hot day, it’s a cooling spot for a swim; the best place to take dip is under one of the many Tea Trees which overhang the water along the boardwalk between Mallabula and Tanilba Bay.

Dawne Olson
This is so fascinating an image! I wondered if it was photographed pointing up the tree trunk at the sky but the water had me totally confused for a second or two… What a great, beautiful chaos which visually corrects itself in a surprising and beautiful way as you are drawn into that bright blue body of water.
EarthGipsy replied
He! He! I’ve taken a look myself and now understand how you were confused for a second. I suppose I’m just used to seeing them, didn’t even consider it may confuse….that adds value! :)

Are these two tea trees? We use tee tree oil in the US to treat “kitchen” wounds, and gum tree oil to keep fleas off our animals. And in everything else, too, it seems like.
EarthGipsy replied
Pleased you like this one. Yes, they are Tee Trees and yes, their oil is great for lots of things. here’s a link to other Tee Trees of mine with some info on their uses
