Since i am venturing out this summer , i thought i would go through the images here on ec. to find the ones i photographed. to show me as a woman photographer.

I have always considered all of the photos on ec to be collaborative. but in the below cases, i shot, styled alone, just with me and the models. the collaborative part of the pics is that e and i were sharing resources re lights ,backdrops, and studio space.
just on the ones below.

there are other pieces of mine here on ec that are mine, that i shot some on scouting with e, some in costa rica, some in central america, and some in the caribbean.

I am proud of the work i have produced alone and with earhart.

Chappel code name Tara Chappel = a woman exploring her many creative talents and waked out ideas/ concepts thanks to Earhart’s collaborations with her.Chappels background is in music, children’s, photojournalism, advertising , fashion and design. Concepts from her designs comes form a heavy background in fashion design and music.With help from her six year old daughter Chappel does all hair, make up and wardrobe ( individually designed pieces of Chappel’s clothing is shown throughout). Ms Chappel also shows solo on rb under the name chappel photo. With our music history backgrounds and both living in Charlottesville Virginia, working together has been wonderful. As now we open our eyes and have the camera ready to shoot anytime. It is also great working together as both of our photography styles are so different.

In Challenges:
not all but a few..

my mother glows in may we were in the top ten with “does bring your daughter to work day, include jammy’s?” (e shot this in a temp studio, with model dale, of my daughter and i)
these are all challenges just for my photographs on ec, as a woman photographer.

IN the women’s photography group challenge ms chappels piece named ‘ballet’ was in the top ten (for her love penelope in her tutu and shoes).

Lilith with immortality and knowledge was in the top ten for the temptation challenge in the red bubble group the Sisterhood group.

also in the alt group color challenge ms chappel placed in pink “primal scream”, and light blue “vintage sting” with her photos. (green, chartreuse won 1st,yellow, gold were combined works)

In the self portrait challenge for the women s photography group ‘chappel’s blue self portrait’ was in the top ten.

Dark cabarets ‘love will tear us apart’, ‘a madonna fit to be tied’ was in the top ten for their challenge.

in the mood group ms chappel has placed with vintage sting, for the challenge on glasses, first place

in the alt group ms chappel has also placed in the top ten with primal scream more than once, as well as the challenge for gender with the interview for rocky horror.

i loved the look and the way it looked, i had a problem though getting the light right for the look i wanted, it makes a great b/w, but i wanted it in color.
