I have Sony A-100 DSLR.
Can anyone tell which lens is good for landscape and portraits? ie, wide angle or telephoto etc.
Also I want to be able to use the lenses on a different camera ie, a canon or nikkon.

For the range of work.. portraits and landscapes you will probably need a zoom lens, and then to decide which one will depend on your budget. Many landscapes are shot at less than 50mm focal length and portraits can vary but likely to be around 70-90mm.
The lens mount required for your Sony will be different than that for a Canon or a Nikon. You can purchase adaptor rings to be able to fit your lens to other makes, however this will degrade your lens performance and also will probably mean that none of the lens auto functions (auto focus and aperture) will work.
