Thank God for zoom lenses! Fantastic capture Dyle!

  • Thank you Robin, glad you like it! When we’d see a bear on the side of the road we would drive up close. If it was on our left my friend would make a u-turn to get closer. I’’d have my window down beforehand so the noise wouldn’t scare them away. I never hung my head outside the window but I know they can be up on you in a new york minute. Looking back on it now, I may have been too close…

Great capture! My parents are having quite a problem with Black Bears lately. They have two Sows and two sets of cubs visiting their yard on a regular basis, probably due to the ripe fruit in the trees in that area right now. I would love to be able to get a photograph or two. This one turned out amazing!

  • Glad you like it Gregory! Your parents must get a bit edgy with them coming on their property. I was lucky because I was in a vehicle taking these. Sometimes though, for the sake of getting a good shot, maybe we were sitting too close with my window open!

So neat to catch it with greenery sticking out of its mouth, Wonderful color, definition and framing.

  • Many thanks Byron, seeing them munching on vegetation was something we’d never seen before.
