Artist Statement

Having been raised in the South, I am hooked on landscapes—the outdoors, the light, the air, the smell, the life of creation. I am attracted to the piece that makes me want to be better than I am—that piece of art that motivates me, inspires me, excites me and moves me to the next level. I think there are times and moments when painting that something special happens . . . on those occasions, I try to get out of the way.
