I know of late that I haven’t been the best of Bubblers, but when I have time I always notice your wonderful compliments and they always mean so much to me. I couldn’t be more sincere about that.
My Zazzle shop actually took off since I opened it over a year ago now and it has been wonderful actually making monthly sales and a profit from the work that I do.
Since I don’t have a “real” job; the sales of my work has really helped to add a little extra to the kibble jar. (And I don’t tell you all that for pity.) I just hope you will understand and appreciate that I’m always torn between family, home, the furs, and friends like you here at RedBubble.

I am so happy to hear about all the features and that you are making sales on Zazzle!! That’s fantastic news!!!!! What kind of products sell best there? Any tips for the rest of us starving artists??? :))))

Probably for me the items that sell best are the ones that I like the least (or are very unsure of). LOL! I’m serious! ;o) If I “sorta like it” and think it’s good, but not good enough to put on RedBubble I can pretty much bet that it will sell on Zazzle.
I don’t mean to sound like I’m cheapening myself or Zazzle, because I’m very proud and pleased with what I sell there; it’s just that more often than not, it might not get a second notice here which instantly makes me feel defeated, but the shoppers at Zazzle seem to like what I do.
My T-shirts and Cards sell best there, and over Christmas I sold my first pair of tennis shoes (huge deal to me! xo). A few mugs, and mousepads. Those are the things that I focus and design the most for. I’m sure that my cards do better over there because you can actually “finish” and create a complete card there; or personalize it.
Contrary to what I’ve read posted here at RB, I’ve purchased some of my own t-shirts from Zazzle and the quality is great! I purposely wear my shirts often, and wash them with the other white clothes in warm water using Tide w/Bleach additive and hang to dry and I have yet to have a design fade or become old looking.
I wish I knew what the “secret” was to being a great Zazzler. I’m not at that point yet. ;o) But I do know that for two Christmas’s now I’ve been able to pay for a portion of my Christmas with the money earned there and that has been a huge help.
Making sure that you get a fan base on Zazzle (similar to how it works here at RB) also helps get you noticed there, and since Christmas I finally got up the nerve to ask local businesses if I could leave business cards on their counters. I also was lucky to get that job making that CD cover which provided me with some much needed (and appreciated) free radio advertising locally.
….And a lot of late nights, loading work until my fingers are sore and my cats are begging me to come to bed. LOL! ;o)
