Stones and numbers by

Golden ratio, number Pi, astronomical figures… mathematics were encrypted inside pyramids, as well as cathedrals. Mayan ones even revealed the date of the end of the world. Will the numbers still exist when mankind will have disappeared ? Did the man invent mathematics, or mathematics invented man ? Ask the Sphynx.

As always Dwarkan ~ awesome! First thought I had, was “Do cats secretly know math?” LOL! Joking of course… I have also made the joke that they can cross dimensions at will and sometimes I think they can! (We have 9 so I get to see a lot of that.) On a more serious note, some say the Universe IS math: in which event, we “discovered” its existence, and are not the inventors. I tend to think that’s the case… what a thought-provoking piece this is, and so visually dynamic! Definite Fave for me!

  • Thanks a lot Nadya… of course I was thinking to you and your interesting group “cutting edge” dedicated to science, when I created this image… and like you I do believe firmly that all is maths in this universe…

Interesting question to ponder. Lovely work – like the little bug walking away – perhaps it knows the answer. :-)

  • Thanks dear Catherine…. the bug embodies Khepri, God of the mornig sun, bringing light from the darkness of night… so you are right : he knows the truth !
