River Kwai-Thailand

Another instant of the friendliness of the Thai people. This trip down the River Kwai was a great opportunity to see how the locals really live.

Yes certainly are. Would desperately like to go back, but with current political situation not too sure. Have you seen John Spies work? Very historical and extremely interesting.

Love this shot. It is romantic and very appealing. It makes me…and I am sure all who look at it…want to go there to see this in person. And yes, it is too bad that the politic of today make so many of us fearful to ravel too far from what we see as safe ground. When were you there? Liz

Golly thinking now: firstr trip 2004, loved it so much went back in 2005 and spent 4 weeks revisiting areas that we fell in love with on the first time around. Daughter and Son in Law followed in 2005 for honeymoon, just before the tsunami.

Thanks Wendi; really need to get busy and get the prints out and do some more scanning, too many good memories not to see on a daily basis on digital frames etc.

Remarkable how everything is sort of lashed together. Fascinating glimpses into a country that looks a tad warm for me to visit. Thanks for the virtual tour!

  • Dusker replied

Thanks Jan, yes very warm and steamy, but got used to it.

This man took great delight in waving to us; I had to wait until he stopped to get the shot I wanted. Wonderful country. Thanks Jan
