Know me for long enough, and you’ll learn of my penchant for gut-wrenching puns. This is one from the back catalogue, written on the occasion of my first ever holiday on my own, camping in Killarney, Ireland. A wonderful place, by the way, which I should love to revisit one day.
The ferry bumps up against the pier
And so, for the first time, I am here.
But have I done right?
Should I have come?
Or am I in Eire?
