No Trains To Heaven
This is a shot of the Terminus at Ryde Pier Head. I’m quite fond of this one, I must admit. The title is taken from the album “Axe Victim” by Be Bop Deluxe

Your treatment of this lends a real sense of hopelessness and cold to image. I like this very much! ” )

I don’t know what to say. The contrast is fantastic, gotta love those shadows. The vantage point this has been taken from was well chosen.
I wanna touch it o0o

Good angle and colours, – and I can see the rails for the different gauges, too.
(my dad’s a train nut -I’ve picked these things up without even trying)
Hertsman
Very interesting shot Durotriqes – I know it well and have travelled on this section many times.
Amanda – the 3 rails here are not for different gauge trains. The one on the far left carries 750v DC that the train uses for driving the traction motor’s and is raised above the level of the other 2 rails. The rails used by the wheels are at the standard British gauge of 4’ 81/2”. Hope that helps.

Great perspective. Excellent tones. Nice work.
Durotriges
Thanks for the extra info Hertsman. @Amanda, the trains running along our somewhat small railway are 1930s London Underground trains. I believe the last day of steam on Ryde Pier was in the late 1950s. Rather a shame, I always think…
