HMS Warrior at Sunset
HMS Warrior is a nineteenth century ironclad. She’s a beautiful vessel moored permanently within the Historic Dockyard at Portsmouth. I pass her every day on the way into work and she never fails to give me a little lift. When I was coming home and the sunset was looking so gorgeous, I couldn’t resist missing my ferry home for this shot!

What a brilliant shot. Geez she reminds me of the Pollywoodside in Melbourne. The colours in the sunset are stunning and because everything’s in silhouette it really looks liked you’ve stepped back in time. Great framing too. :D

Wonderful image of such a nice topic. I was a frequent visitor to the Warrior throughout her restoration in Hartlepool. I can recall it leaving the Tees with a nice flotilla following her. I have a couple of very nice mono photographs taken by a freelance photographer.

Nice to see her again after all of this time. Warrior was lovingly restored in my home town of Hartlepool many many years ago, infact as a young boy I remember a school trip onboard here before the renovation work really got under way – it was a complete disaster area, fortunately the finished result is stunning :o)
