Another stitched panorama, using Autostitch

This was a most amazing cloud formation – I’ve never seen anything quite like it. It didn’t last very long, and was all but gone within probably half an hour of taking the 7 shots used for this pano.

Taken with a Canon A460 (5MP), at moderate telephoto setting. Using stitching software like this, it’s possible to create images that would otherwise be beyond the capabilities of a small P&S camera. Of course, you need a reasonably static subject for it to work!

  • Hi Karen; I’ve not been shooting much, or putting much in groups lately, but I’ll see what I can do :) Autostitching is quite a bit of fun, but it needs a good subject, of course.
