Juilee Pryor
wow this is lovely much better that the PS black and white…its got atmosphere….. lovely work…
Duncan Waldron replied
Thanks Juilee. You might be right, but I felt that I wanted something less literal. Actually, I was just trying a bit of sharpening using an unsharp mask, then got carried away! I’ll maybe play with it a bit more and see what comes out.
blackjack
Have to agree with Juilee. This one pulls you into it more.
Duncan Waldron replied
Thanks for the feedback, blackjack. Sometimes it’s I can’t see the wood for the trees … or something.
ericseyes
This is a very nice shot! My only critique would be the glare you got from the sun washes out part of the picture. Unless that is what you were aiming for, then I’d say great job!
Duncan Waldron replied
Thanks for the comment Eric – and for the honesty (it’s quite refreshing to see an honest critical comment on RB!) The glare certainly wasn’t intentional, but with no viewfinder on the pinhole camera, what you get can be quite a lottery.
Tatiana R
Well, I was going tto shoot my piano… May be not now, after your photo…
Duncan Waldron replied
Andromedae, thanks for the compliment therein, but I INSIST that you shoot your piano. Try not to hit the piano player though ;-)
Janina
I love the feel of this… you can almost smell an antique piano just looking at the photo
Duncan Waldron replied
Thanks Janina, but I wouldn’t breathe too deeply – this one’s a bit mouldy. Badly needs some TLC!
Audrey French
This is stunning! I love the feel of this photo. Nice job.
Duncan Waldron replied
Audrey, you are too kind :) This was such a casual snap (if you can call a 30 min exposure casual!), and with no viewfinder on the pinhole camera, it’s a wonder the composition was OK. I’m going to try another one soon, which I hope will be much better.
Lynn De Serres
Outstanding artwork.
Jase812
Great shot well done.!
Duncan Waldron replied
Thanks Jase!

Duncan Waldron replied
Gracias, masterixx. Mucho más simples que sus diseños!
Riyllan
Love it :)
Duncan Waldron replied
Thanks Riyllan – welcome to the ‘bubble. Welsh name?
BengLim
Great Mood!
Duncan Waldron replied
Thanks Beng :) I have to revisit this, and improve on it (but I know that I’m likely still to prefer this one!).
ragman
obviously an original ~ absolutely a winner ~ inspiring
Duncan Waldron replied
Glad you liked it :-) I’m amazed at the response to this image – which was initially an exercise in perspective, and a test of this particular camera. I’ve also grown to like the hard vignetting from the camera body in front of the pinhole.
MKWhite
I really like the prespective on this shot. Well done :)
Duncan Waldron replied
Thanks Michael; I was really just checking the field of view with the new pinhole cam, and got a better result than I expected – but that’s sometimes pinhole photography for you!
Les Magee
my best friend!!!
Duncan Waldron replied
You’d be sorry to see your friend now… I’d certainly be ashamed to have you reacquainted!
