In the Jewish quarter in Venice at the Campo del Ghetto Nuovo a memorial tablet and bronze relief commemorates 200 Jewish inhabitants who, between 8th December 1943 and August 17th 1944, were taken away to Nazi concentration camps and murdered.
Also in the Campo del Ghetto was this wonderful little boy having great fun.
Such a contrast and it shows that life does go on even after such terrible atrocities.
