Aga Khan Mausoleum – Taken from Kitchener’s Island Egypt
“An impressive structure located on the West bank of Aswan, eternalizing a captivating love story born in the romantic city; that of Aga Khan and his beloved wife. Aga Khan was a Shiite Muslim leader in love with Aswan, and after his death, his widow erected that beautiful Fatimid style Mausoleum on the hillside behind their villa in his honor. Until her death in the year 2000, the widow placed a red rose on her husband’s sarcophagus everyday, inspiring lovers who came from different walks of life to appreciate the beauty of the sight, and of eternal love.” ~ http://www.safariegypt.com/Information/aswan/in...
