The pressure between man and macaque is felt by this semi-adult male monkey. Raising his eyebrows as a sign of warning seemed completely justified after locals fired screecher fireworks at him for pinching rambutan.

As foraging pressure increases due to man’s extended reach of habitation into the jungle… who’s remit is it going to be to make decisions on correct practice when it comes to man and nature?

Maybe fruit corridors should be a part of urban planning and then he wouldn’t have to feel like a shady monkey?
