A diver sits at the safety stop after a long dive ~ not quite into deco ~ but ‘punked’ for time ~ from two earlier DEEP dives!
Decompression derives from the reduction in ambient pressure experienced by the diver during the ascent at the end of a dive. It is a reduction in pressure and the process of allowing dissolved inert gases to be eliminated from the tissues during this reduction in pressure over a period of time.
N.B. Punked in this terminology ~ means ‘tricked’
