Whilst walking on the local beach ~ I noticed this ‘Scombroid’ fish ~ slowly decomposing in the harsh sun and salty sea air.
Sometimes but not often, there is ‘beauty in death’ ~ it is a natural part of nature ~ an essential part of the life-cycle.
Some prefer not to discuss or touch upon the passing ~ but quintessentially death is purely ‘a transfer of carbon from one matter to another’.
Efficiency of ‘carbon transfer’ is a big part of ecosystem management.
A classic example of poor management ~ is the landing of fish within nets which ‘gets lost at sea’ or by ‘bycatch’ ~ which is often disposed of before reaching harbour.
With an estimated 7 billion people on the Planet ~ ‘security of food supply’ and availability of food resources may become paramount to Nations Worldwide.
Food scarcity; starvation and hence ‘suffering’ may very well be a more ‘universal’ phenomenon than just within areas of Somalia for example.
If we do not get a handle on things ~ within a very short period of time ~ it might be ‘part of our future’ too!
