"Volcano." ...in words

The force of nature is beyond our imagination. We can see the effects of its power but I don’t think we can actually fathom the pure power and magnificence of these forces..Yes,we can see the cracks in the surface after a earthquake,And we can look into the depths of the Grand Canyon to see how water can erode even natures structures to dust. The one force that is the most visual though is the “volcanic” eruption when it is really angry. Just look on the Internet(Mt St Helen’s,Mt Lassen,Kilauea,so many others.) to see images of this force in its mesmerizing beauty and in its destructive worst.. One benefit of those eruptions for those of us that are only here a very short time is that it creates wonderful mountains to gaze upon..This section of Mt Lassen in northern California is only one small part of the HUGE volcano that once stood here. This little meadow is in the “crater” of that giant caldera. To be walking through this pristine high mountain meadow just knowing that at one time it was a giant pot of bubbling ,liquid rock is a revelation . How insignificant I have become….
