A little wider view of Kodachrome Basin State Park in Utah,USA. The hike to get to this view was perhaps one of the most splendid walks I have ever taken..At 6 miles it is a bit long but the views and the magnificence of this area are as vast as the imagination can ponder..A little slice of nature that can bring a song to your steps and a dance to your feet…D.Taken with a Canon 7D

Is that 6 miles one way or roundtrip? Either way well worth this gorgeous view. The air looks so pure. Spectacular image D. Sandy

You’ve captured one big scene & it looks really amazing Dennis. The difference between the colours are interesting, would like to know why this is

  • Thanks again Jeff.. The colors are formed by the sand as it built up after the huge inland “sea” drained south.. A bit more to it but that’s what the basic idea is they tell me… I appreciate your time and effort…D.

Amazing view, Great shot. I bet you aren’t dancing as much by the time you arrive back home!

  • LOL No,the dancing was most definatly the “slow” type after this afternoon hike. Was worth every sore muscle though…Thanks again Phillip…D.
