I have been photographing landscapes for many years and am constantly moving forward (I hope…) . I started with film and my own very basic dark room and moved to digital as soon as the quality was high enough for a decent photo.. I use a few different cameras but my new Canon 5Dmk3 is without a doubt the best camera I have ever used. I use many different lenses but my three main pieces of glass are a Canon 70×200 f -2.8 ,a Canon 24×70 f-2.8 and a Canon 17×40 f-4 are on the cameras most of the time. I am a fan of 50mm prime photography and use two,a 1.4 and a 1,8,both canon..I also dabble with Macro and use a 100mm prime and ring flash.. I am usually hiking in to the area I wish to photograph and the equipment has to be durable and fairly light weight..I do most of my printing in house to keep the integrity of my images complete. I can print up to 17×24 using a Epson 3880 fine art printer on archival luster paper or 100% cotton rag fine art paper.. I keep most printing runs to 25 copies and then archive the master for the current owners protection.I also maintain and operate a custom woodworking shop for custom framing projects on a case by case basis..
