This is the jockey who won the Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby just a few days ago up on a horse trained by his brother. Cool jockey. I’m rooting for him if he rides Mine That Bird in the Preakness. I think he’s a good fit for the horse. If Rachel Alexandra runs in the Preakness, I think any jockey can ride her, but Mine That Bird needs Calvin. Will be exciting to see!
Thanks for your views and comments friends! My first attempt at horse racing photography. Enjoy! ♥

Absolutely FABULOUS capture dear Torrie………….
just look at his face, this is a man who loves his work!!!!! :o)))))
He really does! Such a cool guy! By the way, I saw Mine That Bird’s trainer today at the Derby Cafe, Mr. Bennie “Chip” Woolley.. think that’s his name. He was meeting with some important looking people so I felt goofy going up and interupting. Now I’m kicking myself. He’s really tall! He got a call on his phone (adorable girly ring tone by the way lol!) and had to run off to the stables. He even had a representative from Churchill Downs escorting him everywhere. Pretty cool!

That is definitely WAY COOL Torrie…………….what a lucky gal you are!! xo
Wow, lucky to be there, I have met Calvin and he is one cool guy. My husband and I stay in Saratoga Springs, NY and the racing there is superb! :) Nicely done!
Here’s my Calvin photo, I found it! Taken before he won either derby!
