Hi all,

My name is Joel Durbridge, i live my days in the beautiful city of Adelaide, I enjoy long walks on the beach..sorry, i meant long exposures of the beach. I enjoy bodyboarding, and shooting shots of waves, that is when there’s swell, i used to skateboard quite alot too, but after a hard days work you just wanna come home and chill.

As for photography, i started taking photo’s prolly in my mid teens just going on surfing trips and so on. I got my first real propper slr (Canon eos 300) leading up to my wedding (2002) so i could get some great shots on the honeymoon (Apollo Bay and Halls Gap). Later on we found a really good deal on a Nikon coolpix 8700 so we bought that. That was great for the time we had it, but i really found myself yearning for a digital slr. So just before our recent trip overseas in late 2009 we bought the Canon 50D, now i’m really starting to get serious about photography.
I would really love for it to take off, but from what i hear landscape photography is a real hard market to get into. I love to shoot surfing also and will hopefully get a water housing in the near future. Anyway enough rambling bout me, lets go check some photo’s.
