I’ve neglected RedBubble for the last few weeks, because I’ve been spending the majority of my spare time attempting to get some new shots for the Contrast: A Working Title exhibition.
I’ll likely upload the final shots here once the exhibition is over, but until then if you’d like to see some new shots from myself and a few friends, come along to the show.
Details Below:
The Fringe Shutter Collective’s upcoming exhibition, Contrast: A Working Title explores the concepts of sameness and difference inherent in the societies where we may find ourselves. Through various interpretations of a stimulus, in this case the word “contrast”, the Fringe Shutter Collective display the diversity of contemporary communities, and the ability of the photographic medium to exploit the notion that there are moments of truth and of deception.
The multiplicity of the word “contrast”, even within the limited context of the photographic world, works to communicate the Fringe Shutter Collective’s divergent approaches to the photographic medium and allow for the creation of layers of meaning and metaphor. The concept speaks directly to social truths by simultaneously referencing reality, and acting as a substitute for it in this postmodern society of simulacrum.
Exhibition opening night: April 1 @7pm. All welcome
After opening night, the gallery is open 11am – 4pm, Wednesdays to Sundays, April 2-11

Looking forward to going!
