Back in the land of Aus ...

2082 photos of New Caledonia later, I now have much sorting and culling to do!

Now I bracketed many of these photos with a view to creating some HDR images. Are there any other options aside from Photomatix Pro?

I see your 2082 and raise you 1200, but then again, I was there longer than you. :)

I’ve been using pfstools, but the results aren’t impressing me much. I’m leaning towards subtle tone mapping and manual contrast/curve adjustment of single RAW images instead.

Ok I give up you win!

Well the funny thing is that I didnt really take any photos on the last 2 days!

Yeah I tried the pfstools and didn’t have much luck with it. I think PS CS2/3 has some built in HDR tool as well. I might give that a try.

Dave – welcome home. Photoshop PS2 HDR tool certainly works. Its fairly easy. Good luck with it.

    Thanks Stephen,

I’ll give that a try, hopefully I will have some nice shots to show for it.

My personal preference is for Photomatix but there are certainly other options, PS being one of them (I heard its better in CS3 over CS2).

How long were you in NC for ?
