Gaol House
Ruins of the old convict gaol at the Isle of Pines in New Caledonia.
I have tried something a little different from my normal processing to avoid the sky being washed out. Let me know if you think it works!

Gorgeous image, and I like the sky, it makes the gaol look even more ominous : )

Lovely rich colours. Nice composition

Did you burn the sky?

Nice processing all round.I bet the gaol could tell us a thing or too.
David Sundstrom
Thanks All,
Ryan, the sky was burnt a little, but that was mostly to join the 2 exposures created from the original raw file.

I like it, Exactly the technique i use to get an equal exposure. Its hard to get it right when there’s tiny things like leaves and tree branches at the top!
Cathleen Taraw...
Very bleak; well done.

David, could you share what it is that you did differently in this photo as you mentioned in the caption, to avoid the sky from being washed out? Also what was the normal processing that you changed? You have some great shots, by the way.
