Scott Slough at Sunset
Five miles north west of Hartford, South Dakota is a large slough and State game production land bisected by a country road. It is a great place for an outdoor adventurer with a camera. There was something about the trees, the water and the sun that called to me to try different exposures and lighting.

Ruth, coming from you, the comment really means a lot, thanks. This is one of only two of my own pictures that I have framed and put on my family room wall.

Just awesome!!! Reminds me of my favorite place at the Dehart Dam.
Scott Hendricks replied
Lori, thanks for stopping by. This is definitely one of my favorites. It kind of reminds of those old Ham’s Beer commercials from so many years ago.

Beautiful tones, light, and silhouettes! Congrats on your feature!
Scott Hendricks replied
Thanks, Veronica. Sorry for taking so long to respond; but I have been out of town and just got back.

Lovely shot Scott – natural framing is perfect, and lighting invites the viewer to enter more closely – intimately, in fact. Wow!!!
Scott Hendricks replied
Keith, I am humbled by your comment, thank you. I’m sorry it took so long to respond. I have been out of town—my mother-in-law is dying of bone cancer; so we had to take a quick trip across country.
Dawne Olson
Wonderful image Scott! So serene… I hope you and your family are holding up. Take care
Scott Hendricks replied
Thank you for the nice comment, Dawne. We are doing well. I’m still trying to finish developing the 2200 photos I took over the last month and half—getting close to the end.
