I love prairie scenes. Beautiful lighting with interesting clouds/virga rains in the background. Your DOF is perfect.

Thank you for your comments. This is such a typical scene within short driving distance of my home in Sioux Falls. I was on my way home and saw this field where the tractor was just leaving and had to stop. This was taken with my first Digital an Olympus C-4000 Zoom and then applied HDR techniques to get it look like it was when I took it.

Even though I really hate “hay season” from all the work (and allergies) associated with it… this is truly one of my favorite scenes in the world! (And one of my favorites from your portfolio!) Fantastic image!

I can see where one with allergies would like to avoid this time of year in South Dakota. Thanks for the comments.

Nice Scott. I have one similar to this, but yours is better. Great contrast and color. Nice sharp image.

Hi Gary, sorry to take so long in replying, our grandson was over from Minnesota this last weekend and needless to say 400 photos later with trips to the zoo, the playground, etc., etc. I applied HDR techniques to an old photo and it turned catching the colors as they were that day. It was a tough photography day as it was cloudy, then sunny, back and forth and the rising sun was very bright..
