St Marys Tory. This chapel was noticed by Leland in the course of his Itinerary in 1533. He noted that “There is a Chapelle on the highest Place of the Towne, as I entered”. The chapel and cottage were restored in the nineteenth century, although the east window and a niche in the same wall survive from the fifteenth century.
