Saw Whet Owl by

This little guy is a saw whet owl. They are only 5-7" long, but aren’t even the smallest owls! I was inspired to draw him after reading that the local wildlife center rescued four of them in two months after being hit by cars.

Drawn in charcoal, carbon and colored pencil. 2008.

A portion of sales will be donated to The Wildlife Center in New Mexico.
