Fried Egg Flower by Dave Rollins

Fried Egg Flower by

Taken in Huntington Beach, California.

I believe the common name of this unique flower is Mantilija Poppy, but it’s usually called the Fried Egg Flower.

Really interesting large white petals; almost a papery look to them. And that remarkable golden yellow central structure!

    Beautiful!

  • Thanks, Babcia. This image is quite like your White anemone – similar colors, similar diagonal composition.

  • Thank you, Doeray. (And I do love a good pun.)
