    “what is prion?”... good question…when in it’s diseased state, a prion is a proteinacious infectious particle that induces cell death in the brains of those affected by the disease…basically it ’s the thing that was in infected beef that cause variant CJD in humans. But it doesn’t have to be from eating infected meat, it can occur sporadically and genetically too. So the vegetarians among us aren’t exempt from prion diseases, unfortunately!!
