Artist's Description

This photo is of a skull in the
19th century when Edgar Allen
Poe llived and became so strongly
associated with the dark nature
of his work that in some minds he
appears to be the central character
rather than the author. Poe’s biography
comes to life. The images appeared
when he became attached
to Maria Clemm, who served
as a surrogate mother for years. Poe
did not want to do such things as
serving dinner or having small or
menial jobs in the Antebellhum South.
A number of Poe’s poems would
feature carpentry and masonry
skills convenient for hiding bodies
Poe may have worked as a common
laborer where he could have witnessed
masons and carpenters at work
because he was not a master
craftsman. Poe would have earned
only a little. While wondering in
the beautiful moonlight he chances
the to the tomb of his lost Ulalume.
Finding the grave, he realizes
that his grave is still an unhealed
wound. He wrote:
“Then my heart grew ashen and
I am fascinated by Edgar Allen
Poe who has become so strongly
associated with the dark nature of his work
that is part of my series “Shadow People.”
a Jungian concept about the dark side
of human nature written about in
his many books including “Man
and his Symbols” and “Memories,
Dreams and Reflections,” I have
an extensive collection of Jungian
Analyst books and have listen
to many lectures. One of his
most profound books are written
by Louse Von Franz who focuses
on the fairy tales that a a brilliant
representation of his phenomenal
genuis when he broke off his
work with Freud to create
a comprehensive analytic
system of Psychoanalyis. I
have used the sandtray
for the 35+ years I have been
in practice and the results of
treatment are amazing! Many
children would play out the
horror and mystery tales
that bear his name. Over a
century after his death, his story
remains as fascinating as those he
wove, largely because the shadow
cast by Poe was not one of his own
designs. I have read several of
his books including "An Illustrated
Companion the His Tell-Tale stories
that remain in his biography that
comes to life through images and
fascinating removable memorabilia
including a portion of his handwitten-
manuscript for the manuscripts, “A
Dream Within in Dream”, the bond

indication his intentions to marry
his cousin, Virrgina and his
controversial obituary thad
appeared in the New York
Daily Tribune. After touring this visual
interactive videographs, fans of Poe
read “The Raven” and countless other
classics and countless other classics
which a new appreciation and understanding
of his work. As, Ralph Waldo Emerson,
said, “To Be Great Is To Be Understood.”
Other tales of the story of Virginia
Wolfe and James Cameron’s, “Aliens”
and the Titanic are stunningly
painted by the amazing “psychic”
artist, Sophie Shapiro who thinks
that this amazing directors will
be interested in her work. One
of my colleagues treats James Cameron
and another has published friend
Ben Shield knows Brian Weiss who
heals his patients by regression and
therapy of “other lives.” I am curious
about all treatment systems of contemporary
Psychoanalysis developed by Anna Freud
and most profoundly the numerous
brilliant books of Brian Weiss including the
best seller, “Many Lives, Many Masters”
and “Through Time into Healing” among
others. Sophie Shapiro, a phenomenal
“psychic artist” shares my interest in
the “unseen world” that is represented
in my series of “Every Tree Tells a Story”
or “Hides A Story.”
