This is not Marge Simpson with red hair. My
bark art lady is much prettier!
Using my Macro Lens, I shot this image of part of a tree to include in my bark art series. It is a delightful surprise to uncover
the images under the peelings of tree bark.
The imagery in this piece is bold and brightly colored with great texture to accentuate the
form of the image. The process of transforming the bark of trees into abstract images from nature is a fascinating process. This shot was taken
in a botanical garden in Los Angeles. Please view this in the large format.

I know. I can see images in the trees (maybe they are spirits) and then enhance what I see to create the final product. So far iphoto on my Mac and the time I spend working on the image has been very useful. I have experimented with photoshop, but so far nothing can compare with the natural beauty of nature with the amazing colors and imagery most of us don’t take the time to see. You are an exception given your passion
for using nature as a canvas for your work. Thanks Kathie for your very supportive comments.
