Here is another example of nature’s beauty in this bark abstract. I perceive a warrior in orange in a chariot searching the landscape for intruders who are disturbing planetary harmony in this sector of an unknown galaxy. The dark background sets the mood and illuminates the vibrant color of the
landscape in this mysterious realm. The rider is clearly from another time and space and has been called back from the past to use his power against evil forces. What do you perceive in this multi-dimensional painterly photograph? Please view it in the larger format to see all the imagery. Sally Omar has paired this piece with her poem, “Midnight Rider”
which you can read in her portfolio.

Julie, I see a hidden land where people exist and time stands still for them…they don’t age…
they don’t die…they live on in peace and harmony and under the protection of an animal
kingdom…they live on the fruits and vegetables of the land and never kill…in their hearts ..
they are the warriors of good….Hugs, Sally xxxxxooooo

.The fact that my work is so open to interpretation is what makes it so interesting. Remember as a Psychologist, I administered many projective tests and the Rorschach is designed to elicit original projections. I see my photographs as Rorschachs and the differing interpretations are the fascinating part of viewing the imagery. It does not matter what I see. I could have written hundreds of stories to those two photos, all very different. What I appreciate about you is your fluid mind and ability to free associate and use your active imagination when interpreting my photos. I have so many photographs, it is often hard to choose, but I tend to like the abstracts to allow the viewer to interpret the photography from the vantage point of how he or she perceives the imagery. That is what I appreciate most about your freedom to write whatever comes to mind which is the nature of the creative process. I think your story about a peaceful land where people live in harmony under the protection of an animal kingdom sounds wonderful. I wish I could live there as a warrior of good. My story also has an element of good since the warrior has come to this mysterious place to restore harmony and peace. He is a very special warrior of good.

Julie this reminds me of the Greek fertility goddess Persephone and the queen of the underworld. Persephone, Proseprina to the Romans was the daughter of Zeus and his sister, the fertility goddess Demeter. One day, Persephone was is a field picking flowers with Oceanids (sea nymphs). Suddenly, on a rare visit to the living world, the god Hades, abducted her in his chariot and returned with her to his kingdom. Demeter left Mount Olympus to search for her daughter and in the end she stopped the crops from growing, threatening humanity with famine unless Persephone was returned. Zeus eventually the god Hermes to escort Persephone from the underworld. Before she left, Hades induced her to eat some pomegranate seeds. Demeter welcomed her daughter joyfully, but warned her that if she consumed the food of the underworld she must return to Hades forever. Persephone remembered the pomegranate seeds, but Zeus declared a comprise: Persephone would spend two thirds of the year with her mother and the remaining third with Hades.
Persephone and Demeter were the focus of the Eleusinian Mysteries a famous cult based at Eleusis near Athens. Unusually, the cult was open to all men, women and even slaves who were among their initiates, who were all attracted by the promise of a special after life in the underworld.
Julie this wonderful work displays Persephone lying down and resting her weary head and eventually falling asleep. The images around her reflect her dreams and her desperate need to see her mother, who was the only one that could soothe and comfort her. Wonderful work and full of imaginary! Another fantastic success!Sx

The warrior watches as his constant companion spreads her graceful wings and rises above an alien land.

I see a dense forest in the early morning. Dark is just lifting, and the red glow of the hearth from many tiny homes glistens like a carpet of stars across the landscape.
