Viewing the dark bark on this tree , I see a towering figure with his knee up strumming a Mandolin. Next to him is a small figure with orange flowing robes who is the shaman of the village. He is listening quietly to the melodic messages that fuel his spirit to lead his people out of danger. The soft and lovely melodic songs are healing remedies that communicate through music profound spiritual powers. There are more scenes of this high snowy mountain where he lives with a group of people who have created a spiritual and peaceful environment despite the harsh elements they must confront to maintain their safety. They have been tormented as a result of their values and spiritual beliefs. They live in the land of Nod. Many of my images have graphic illustrations that I see in the bark of trees. Stories appear to be condensed in nature’s imagery. What do you see in this multi-textured image?
Butchart. I only suggest a few images that I see. If I look at the images for a long time, I would perceive multiple projections. I love to know what others see and offer a few of my projections as a catalyst for others to project onto my painterly canvases. I see the oddly shaped man standing on the edge and am appreciative of your time to view my tree illustrations and respond to what you perceive. I also enjoy the stories that people tell about the images.
Butchart. I forgot to add that I could have titled the piece is simply Man Strumming, a very clever title since we can’t be sure he is peeing. I did notice he is not circumcized. The projections are much more fun when responses are not censored. That is a very original projection. If you have to go, there is no choice. Nature is calling!

Julie I see a Roman Scene. People holding the images of their gods. It looks like a religions celebration and people running along the cobble stones! Wonderful and inspiring! Well done!Sx
