In 2006 an unrest took place in the southern city of Oaxaca. The teachers and people of Oaxaca where protesting for the right of a better Educational system. As a result the Governor Ruiz sent in the federal forces to take control. During the months of this unrest Oaxaca’s people have lost their liberties, education of their children, free transit, lives and the ability to walk outside at night. Just before my leaving Oaxaca I stumbled upon Papan who was an elderly man and his words on Oaxaca’s situation were “It will ever end”. Whilst the Government continue to resolve problems with violence, Papan was right far beyond the reasoning for the unrest, “It will never end”.
