Winter Path, Back Cove, New Harbor, Maine by

The winter is one of my favorite times to photograph because it simplifies the scene by removing a lot of detail. This is one of my favorite locations to photograph; it’s never the same two days in a row. Obviously the fresh snowfall allowed for the path to become a strong leading line into the image and the red – well, the red boat was perfect.

Worked with the Topaz’s simplify filter then moved into Photoshop and heavily manipulated using the mixing brush.
