Winter Landing, Georgetown, Maine by

This image was shot from a bridge which allowed me to get the unusually high perspective on the boats and flatten the plane of view. The strong diagonal and the color relationship attracted me to the scene and the red barn was a great counter point for the brilliant colors. The image was shot with a Nikon camera and lens and then put in Photoshop. Topaz’s simplify filter was applied and the image was finished off using the mixing brush extensively in Photoshop.

Wonderful perspective, David. The close up view of the boats, coupled with the simplification process and colors make for outstanding effect.

  • Thank you very much for your close observation
