This image was made on Monhegan Island. I was talking to my wife on a pay-phone on the porch of a hotel. And was watching the fog moving in and out it would obscure the lighthouse and then partially reveal it. I told my wife I had to hang up to make an image. To move the weathervane above the Hill, I had to lay down on the porch. The only spot that would work was right in front of the door, on this island that wouldn’t be considered unusual behavior. The patrons just stepped over me and kept going. I worked on the image for about 10 minutes. Then I called my wife back.
