So who the hell is Dan anyway?
I know that little snippet on the front page sounds like it was written for the small space typically reserved for the bio on an op-ed piece and – well, quite frankly – it was! So, how about I give you a little better idea of who I am?
I am a Photo-journalistic Photographer located in the Cincinnati, Ohio area that specializes in Event, and Wedding photography. I shoot mainly in a very free and organic manner typically rebuking most of the “conventional” wisdom of the trade. That is not to say that what I do is so far out there that it is not applicable – just that I tend to beat to a different beat. One of the biggest joys I get out of taking pictures of people is the chance I get to learn something about them. After all – they are YOUR pictures!
Where can I get in contact with you then?
I am quite readily available by several means. There is the always venerable contact form (located quite conveniently below), through my email Webmaster@DRGphoto.com, by joining the DRGPhoto Newsletter!
The Blurb: Dan Gilreath was born and raised in Hamilton, Ohio. During his six years of active duty in the Air Force, he lived in Germany, Idaho, Iraq and Kosovo as well. Dan has been involved in photography for 12 years, with a more serious focus evolving over the last six.
In early 2010, he created Daniel Gilreath Photography. In addition to his experiences in the Air Force, Dan draws his inspiration from his family and friends. In terms of style, most of his collection has a photo-journalistic emphasis. Recently, however, he has become more involved in studio and wedding photography. Dan’s interests outside of photography usually involve the outdoors, ranging from snowboarding to boating and water skiing.
