Very dramatic work. I love the triangular abstraction of the facial features. For me it takes the image to art, rather than photography and evokes a strong sense of wonder.

I have quite an angular face with prominent cheek bones I guess (so I have been told!), I take lots of snapshots with my mobile phone to get just one that I am happy with, anywhere between 5-40! I use my mobile as it is easier to take self portraits from a variety of angles and I also do not like ‘posed’ portraits but a ‘snapshot’ of the person or myself, which I feel shows the ‘real’ person more and as my work is primarily about portraying emotions through expression this I find works best.
