I’ve been really sick the last couple of weeks and finally was able to take my camera for a romantic sunset walk. I look after my camera but the tripod gets jealous.
I have to walk with just the tripod drec cos the nikon has gone to hospital with a malfunction. hope they can fix it!!
My camera’s on its last legs after copping the abuse I’ve dished out to it standing in the rain and getting itt wet with salt water. My tripod looks a little worse for wear from being pushed into the sand and standing in the surf. It still works but doesn’t look or sound pretty.
ditto drec my camera has a hard life too! have got the old sony out and you should here the lenses crunch with salt when focusing and the tripod is just a big salty mess. Too bad I can’t get the good shots after wrecking it in the sea!!
You’d think someone would make a tripod to stand up to abusive treatment like salt water. So far I’ve only killed one flash buy submersing it in sea water.

Thanks, I’ve stripped the tripod down and have given a very decent clean. Standing in salt water and sand is not good in the long run.
