Standing at the Beach end of Elkhorn Ave trying to stay dry with swirling wind and rain. Made it pretty bloody hard to point the camera anywhere.
I need to quickly get my wet weather set-up going so I can leave the camera out in the open, like on the beach facing Q1. Still not a bad Winter’s Night.
Thanks, before the end of Strom season I want to set-up on the Beach and get the Skyline with the Storm approaching. That’s one of my goals for this season.
Well you definately are brave I would have s#*t myself we had small hail here and the dog is still inside with us
hahaha, I think you’d be safe(ish) near Q1. This was just peppered with strikes and none landed on the ground except for a huge bolt over the Ocean. Still I wouldn’t want to be under this structure if it was hit.
Whooo ! Congrats on a great effort and fabulous result !!!!
Thanks. It’d be easier if it was raining and will look for a better spot next time.

Bet you could feel it in your stomach : )
I was under a small structure feeling pretty comfortable that all these tall buildings would act like Lighting Rods. I’ll find a way of leaving my Camera on the Beach without it getting wet and get bigger and better results.

Guess you were really… been strolling through your other storm pic’s and sure, I think it can be bad here sometimes but those “storms” are mere breezes compared to what you got… such magnificent storms :D
Last year the first real storm didn’t happen until December. We had a lot of rain, flooding but no real typical Summer conditions. So I’m hoping this year will provide plenty of fun.

Knew that thing was a big lightning rod is this tonight? Brave man
This was tonight and the ground did shake a bit after Soul(building in front of Q1) was hit – Soul’s about 500mts away from where I was standing.

It was a pretty wild storm and I would have driven past you on my way home from work. Great capture and good luck with your goal.
I was the one jumping up and down by myself on the Beach Front. Hopefully it’ll be a bumper Season this year.
