The moon had a real orangey/red appearance as it climbed into the sky. Rising after sunset today provided a challenge of exposing for the foreground without blowing the highlights and having a moon trail. The fish were on the bite so the camera had to sit idle for awhile. The Sand Pumping Jetty, The Spit, Gold Coast.
Great shot, drec. It’s nice to see the results after watching you take this one. I hope my friends didn’t interrupt you too much. I would have loved to have chatted more too but there was too much to shoot and too little time. (And light.) It goes so quick.
Thank you, I go out shooting by myself most of the time and it is good to talk to other photographers. Very impressed with your ‘Master at Work’ – must be the subject matter.

Wonderful!
Love the water movement and light in this. Well done.
Thank you, had to work quick to find a balance to correctly expose the moon/jetty combination.

I like that gentle sense of motion in this and the low feeling from the perspective you’ve used.
Thank you. Found a new RedBubble member who caught me in the act at The Spit; AnnVB

Nice capture……Don’t you just love having cameras around!
At least she got me from my better side. It was bound to happen sooner or later though.
