I don’t think you need my help!! Done well with the masking to. Nice concept. hope to see it on their album cover (coming to a record store soon)

  • Would be cool but not sure on the direction they’ll go. I’d be happy if they used this advertising gigs….

Excellent result, drec! I’d seen the ‘masking of hair help’ thread earlier – you’ve come up trumps! Fabulous concept. :))

  • Thank you. The hair was really fine and a real pain. I’ve learnt a few new tricks along the way and I have so much more of photoshop to learn.

Very well done drec :) If I was going to pick about anything, it would be that the guys sitting down are a lot darker than the guys in the mirror – perhaps you could lighten them a little ?

  • Thanks for your help. I’ll give it a go. Just going to have a play with layer styles first. I must only use 10%(if that) of this software.

Duplicate the layer, change the blend mode to Screen, hold down the Alt key and then click on the ‘Add Layer Mask’ icon at the bottom of the layers palette. Make your f/ground colour white and grab a soft edged brush. Make sure you are working on the mask by clicking on it to make it active and then paint over the guys at the front – take down the layer opacity if you think it is too light.

  • Thank you. Gave them a little more light. Off to learn………….

Great capture Drec!! Love the cards midflight! The whole concept of what you have done here is wonderful! :)

  • See I even engraved my name on the table? 31st of July is this band’s CD launch and I’ll be shooting them that night. Should be good.
