Taken from the bottom of the cliffs along Kangaroo Point, looking towards the city of Brisbane at night. Timed to exclude the ferries leaving light trails along the river.

I’m Derek, Gold Coast Photographer who now spends more time at FaceBook than here.

Sometimes I take pretty pictures.

OMG, who let you leave the GC?? this is a great shot:) I really love the grass in the foreground. You are such a master of these night shots.

  • Needed a change of scenery and found myself near a river on the way back to the station, bad habit?

LOL ! You would have had to jump the wall for this shott!! I have a daylight shot from the same spot. Very marketable shot drec, nicely done

  • Good little spot isn’t it? I like your use of flash from this location. Given me ideas when I get around to having a flash.

fantastic work drec, I agree the master of night shots for sure@!!

  • Since giving up TV I do spend more time outside at night. This would be a good spot after the ferries finish for the day.

Beautiful capture … a master of the night shot you are!

  • Plenty of practise. You don’t get to see the out-take real though.
