Fingal
The remains of previous wild seas are left on the rocks at Fingal Head, Northern New South Wales. A spot worthy of more time devoted to.
It seems to have come out darker on RB than in the Fingal Gallery Here Is it RB or my monitor?
Fingal belongs to the following groups:
SEA Available for sale asGreeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints, Framed Prints and Posters

Thank you. It looks a little dark my end and have left a link on right with how I think it should look. Same image just different homes on the net.

that sea is great drec, nice work as always :)
drec replied
Thanks, bit concerned of how dark this appears on RB compared to my site.

It’s darker on my monitor too Derek, especially compared to your website. Must be RB. I got my calendar today but I won’t be ordering any for Xmas presents. All the photos came out too dark and muddy looking. Not impressed at all.:(
drec replied
Sorry to hear about your calendars. Best bet is take a photo or ask RB about your concerns and see what(if) could be done.
As for the darkness here, well it’s the same image both sites but my own site appears more correct in brightness/darkness/colours than here.
Ann Van Breemen
I thought maybe they correct things like that before they print but obviously not. Maybe my monitor needs calibrating. It’s only a laptop. Anyway, I’m going to try somewhere else where I’ve got more control. I seem to get better results from the local Kodak shop.:)

Where do you get most of your developing done on the Coast? I like the place @ Young Street but he’s not cheap.
JennyDean
definately darker here drec, but i quite like this effect too, different but still great. Your website is brilliant :)
drec replied
Thank you. I really noticed the shift with this one when all the rock just seemed to vanish into darkness. I have to get out and shoot some more to add to my site but finding it hard to get out and shoot lately. Also trying to figure out a bit of code to revamp the galleries but my AS3 knowledge is not the best.

I think it’s your monitors guys, looks the same to me on both, and i’ve checked several times and have my own eye1 calibrator. Also might be a trick of the eye between the RB white background and your sites black background drec, or a combination of the 2. Nice shot too buddy!

Below I grabbed off my site. Just seems that little bit brighter in the darks. I’ll get it printed and see what it looks like

This is from my website where it doesn’t appear as dark.

Gotta say it still looks the same, but hey, it could be me – maybe I need to recalibrate again already, though was only 2 weeks ago. Colors and shadows look fine though.

Oh wow dre. Great as always. U always have the most beautiful shots.
drec replied
Thank you. Been a bit lazy and haven’t been out shooting lately. Maybe this weekend.

I love Fingal Head I have spent many an early early morning and picnics in the grass. Great shot Drec ; D

Thanks, I tend to bypass this though and head to Broken. There again I haven’t gone down that way for some time now.

I don’t print very often, but when I do I’ve just gone to the one hour shop on Level 1 in Australia Fair. They’re cheap and they come out exactly as I see them on my screen. That’s why I couldn’t understand what had happened with the calendar.:)

Here’s the RB response I got. Bit puzzled by it.
